ParentSquare

ParentSquare is a unified communications platform. The division, your child’s school and teachers use ParentSquare to communicate with families. This includes emergency messages as well as everyday information closely related to the school’s educational mission. It provides a safe way for administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:

• Send and receive school and class information
• Share pictures and files
• See calendar items
• Sign up to volunteer
• Schedule parent-teacher conferences
• and much more… all in one centralized place!

No, ParentSquare is not for classroom assignments.

However, teachers can use the platform to remind families on due dates if they choose.

Yes. All parents and/or guardians are automatically registered to receive notifications through ParentSquare when they enroll their student.

Individuals who do not activate their account in ParentSquare will still receive email and text notifications. They will have limited access to other ParentSquare features, like form completion and parent-teacher conferences.

If you cannot sign into ParentSquare with your email or phone number, please contact the school registrar or email parentsquare@acps.k12.va.us to make sure your contact information is correct in our student information system.

The invitation link is only valid for 24 hours. But you do not need to wait for a new invitation!

Visit https://www.parentsquare.com/signin to create your account with the email address or cell phone number on file with the school.

Please check your spam folder. The email verification message may have been routed there. For text messages, please text START to 66458 and then request a new verification code.

If the issue persists, please email parentsquare@acps.k12.va.us with your name, email, and school(s).

If you need to update your contact information, please complete your Back to School forms in PowerSchool.

Verify that each of your children have the same email address, mobile phone number, and address listed for you.

• To opt-out of receiving notifications, you can:

  • Complete and return the opt-out form to your school office, or

  • Contact your school office or email ACPS ParentSquare Support with your email and cell phone number
     

• You can also opt-out of:

  • Emails: Click the Unsubscribe link in any email you receive

  • Text Messages: Click the Opt-Out link in the first text message you receive from ParentSquare. You can also reply STOP to any subsequent text you receive.

  • Phone Calls: Contact us at parentsquare@acps.k12.va.us

  • If you are not a parent or guardian and are receiving notifications in error, please email parentsquare@acps.k12.va.us. 
    
    *Please note that even if you opt-out of receiving communication, you will still receive notifications for emergencies and other school information deemed important, such as attendance and lunch balances.

  • Text Messages: If you sent STOP, you can reply START to any text you had received or send START to: 66458

Yes! In addition to using ParentSquare’s online portal, you can download the free ParentSquare app to your iPhone or Android mobile device through the App Store or Google Play Store.

No worries, the process is easy!

Families can log into the ParentSquare website or download the app using the email address or cell phone number that they provided to their child’s school. Once you are logged in, you can set notification preferences and make sure you are ready to communicate with ACPS in the new school year!
