Talented and Gifted (TAG)

Naomi L. Brooks TAG Resource Teacher

Chantey McGhee-Bailey has been teaching for 11 years. Before joining Naomi L. Brooks’ staff in 2021, she taught at George Mason Elementary for five years and prior to that, she taught in Chicago, her hometown. Ms. MB, as she is called, believes that all children can learn and achieve at high levels; that is demonstrated in the work that she does and the rapport that she has with children.  

Ms. MB has extensive experience in education, beginning as an Americorps member for the Literacy Volunteers of Illinois in 2006, (preparing incarcerated youths for the GED) then becoming a long term substitute teacher at a performance arts school, she has taught every grade level from kindergarten through eighth grade. She currently provides subject specific instruction for Talented and Gifted students in grades 4 and 5.
